Culture Shock

Culture Shock! was an ambitious digital storytelling project that took place in North East England. The project grew out of museums’ interest in new programming that would both engage people with their collections and create new cultural materials to add to these collections. Over 500 people participated in over 100 digital storytelling workshops in 2009-10. Near the end of the project, the stories were publicly screened in a series of locations at the Culture Shock! Festival, and they are archived in museums across North England.
