Banyan Tree Project

The Banyan Tree Project is described as “a national social marketing campaign to stop HIV/AIDS-related stigma in Asian and Pacific Islander communities.” The project is an initiative of the Asian and Pacific Islander Wellness Center, and many of the stories were created with funding of the CDC and the Office of Minority Health Resource Center. The site hosts over thirty digital stories, sortable by theme. Most stories are told in English, but several are told in the storyteller’s native language. The site also enables visitors to upload written testimonials, though there are few of these as of late 2014.
